Intertek hosts international trade delegation

Intertek has been selected by the UK government’s UK Trade & Investment body to showcase its analytical laboratory services and R&D operations there to a delegation of international trade officials.
Intertek, a leading international provider of quality and safety services, opened up its specialty chemical and pharmaceutical laboratory at Blackley, North West England on Monday this week to thirteen visiting delegates from embassies around the world. Delegates are touring a selection of top R&D locations in England and Scotland to learn about the region's thriving chemical industry, in-bound investment and overseas-market development opportunities.
Intertek has one of the largest purpose-built high-tech analytical facilities in the UK at Blackley. It has an international reputation for supporting product innovation to many leading multinational companies, particularly in pharma and biopharmaceuticals. Almost 60% of the world's top 50 chemical companies have a presence in the North West England region1. Officers from Belgium, Brazil, China, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Oman, Slovakia and Slovenia were hosted on UK Trade & Investment’s tour.
