NMR is a useful tool in oligonucleotide identification and characterisation supporting development, registration and quality control

Research into products incorporating deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) has seen significant growth based on the potential that these type of molecules present as therapeutic agents. The structural complexity of these products can present many challenges for characterisation and analysis. NMR is a useful tool in oligo identification and characterisation. The level of information it can provide gives it a diverse range of applications. This presentation, delivered during Digital TIDES week, provides an overview of NMR techniques for oligonucleotide analysis, including a discussion on how NMR can be used in place of more conventional techniques for melting temperature calculation, the challenges presented by NMR and a reflection on regulatory aspects.
