Houston, Texas – Intertek, a leading provider of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) solutions, is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming CCUS Conference and Exhibition, showcasing our core services and expertise in carbon storage. The CCUS Conference and Exhibition, scheduled to take place from March 11-13 in Houston, Texas, serves as a premier platform for industry professionals to explore cutting-edge technologies and solutions in carbon capture, utilization, and storage.

Yani Araujo and Clara Palencia, two members of CCUS Intertek team mentioned: “Long-term underground CO2 storage is the only practical solution for heavy industries to keep providing energy to the world and simultaneously to meet their net zero commitments by 2040 or 2050. Several challenges must be faced to accomplish the commitments in terms of underground long-term storage.”

“A rigorous laboratory workflow to evaluate the rock-fluid properties to evaluate the feasibility of implementing a CCS or CCUS project is needed, as well as best practices learned from past 35 years of Intertek’s laboratory experience in the characterization of rock-fluid properties”.

Visit us at Booth # 402 to explore firsthand how our services can bolster your carbon capture initiatives. Learn about our expertise in safe and secure carbon storage, encompassing geological assessments, site characterization, and monitoring.

Engage with our team of CCUS experts who provide strategic guidance, technical assistance, and project management support to organizations seeking to implement carbon management initiatives.

Our team from Intertek’s Westport Technology Center in Houston, TX, will be on hand to provide insights and solutions tailored to your needs.

We invite you to meet our distinguished team at the Expo, including:

Yani Araujo: An experienced Formation Evaluation and EOR professional with over 25 years working for the oil and gas industry as Technical Advisor and Manager for Special Core Analysis, CCUS and EOR advisor. Yani's strong background in reservoir engineering allows us to design and customize experiments for our clients for the early achievement of objectives. With more than 42 publications and 2 patents she is responsible for the technical oversight and coordination of projects. She is also involved in R&D aimed to create new methods for formation evaluation focused on decarbonization including CSS and CCUS.
