Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, is pleased to announce that they will be attending and exhibiting at the Society of Toxicology (SOT) annual meeting taking place in San Antonio from March 11-15, 2018.

The SOT annual meeting and ToxExpo will bring together more than 335 exhibitors, including laboratories, manufacturers, suppliers, researchers, and more. Exhibitors will be able to showcase the latest products and services related to toxicology and biomedical research to stakeholders such as scientists, executives, and industry leaders. Attendees will benefit from more than 160 scientific sessions, including education-career development sessions, historical highlights, Informational sessions, platform/poster sessions, regional interest sessions, roundtables, symposia, workshops, and SOT awards lectures.

During the event, Intertek Pharmaceutical Services, San Diego and Health, Environmental & Regulatory Services (HERS) will be co-hosting an exhibitor educational session titled "Bioanalysis and Toxicology Challenges with Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC)" on March 13 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM in room 217C. ADCs are complex molecules that require a science and data-driven approach unique to each ADC. They present unique bioanalytical challenges as they tend to be complex heterogeneous mixtures of multiple species with a range of drug-to-antibody ratios. Andrew Macintyre, Director, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, San Diego, and Lindsay Donald, VP, Pharmaceuticals, HERS, will present during this session. ADCs are a relatively new class of compounds and there are no regulatory guidelines which specifically address their development. There are several quite unique challenges which must be considered in their safety assessment including immunogenicity assay requirements and bioanalysis assay complexity. Mr. Donald states, “this class of compounds has challenges in toxicology preclinical testing that need to be fully addressed to avoid drug development delays in the clinic”. This presentation will discuss ADC preclinical study design, anti-drug antibody assay development and validation, and other challenges to avoid failure due to safety issues and ensure a safe and effective drug product.

In addition, attendees are invited to attend posters sessions in the CC Exhibit Hall which will provide first-hand knowledge of Intertek's latest scientific research projects. HERS will present 5 research posters titled:
