Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, will be sponsoring, chairing and curating the "Functional Nutrition - Cradle to Grave" Seminar Theatre at Stand 648 during Food Matters Live in ExCel, London from November 21-23, 2017.

Functional food is recognized to be more important to our health than ever before with an upsurge in research findings to support a huge array of healthy ingredients to help maintain well-being, reduce the risk of disease and enhance performance. Intertek expert, Nigel Baldwin, Senior Director, Food & Nutrition, states “R&D in the food ingredients sector has moved rapidly over recent years and with the introduction of new regulations and scientific guidance from the EU, it’s hard to keep your finger on the pulse. We see some of the most successful new product introductions and potential growth, particularly in the food supplements area as lifestyle specific, using combinations of more traditional functional ingredients alongside cutting edge new bioactives; so, it will be interesting to hear what the innovators in our industry have been developing and provide food for thought for nutrition providers".

Food Matters Live 2017 has organized a seminar program “Functional Nutrition – Cradle to Grave” which will be hosted by Intertek in the theatre area at Stand 648 and will span over the 3 days of the event. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with the speakers after the presentations have concluded. Our seminar program will take place in the Nutraceutical Showcase within the exhibition floor. The Nutraceutical Showcase is a visitor attraction and will provide advice and insight on the latest regulatory framework and developments driving innovation in the nutraceutical industry.

"Functional Nutrition - Cradle to Grave" will feature 3 main sessions and will provide attendees with the latest updates supporting what nutrition is beneficial during pregnancy, evidence determining what ingredients are best for your lifestyle during your most productive years and will discuss what key nutrients can help us manage as we approach our senior years. Intertek Health, Environmental & Regulatory Services (HERS) will provide regulatory updates during the following 3 sessions in conjunction with invited speakers from industry:
