As of May 1, 2011, the European Commission Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food entered into force. This Regulation has become directly applicable in all European Member States as of this date. The Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 replaced the Plastic Directive (2002/72/EC) and its amendments, as well as various directives on compliance migration testing. One important change is the expansion of the scope of this Regulation with plastic layers in multi-material multi-layers among others.

This webinar provides information about the new Regulation, important changes, migration testing rules, and the transition period and the Declaration of Compliance (DoC). It will assist companies with answers on what to do in order to be compliant!

The Regulation (EU) 10/2011 applies to your business if you are a producer of raw materials or products at the intermediate stage for the packaging or food contact materials industry, a manufacturer of packaging or food contact materials, as well as for other industries focusing on applications intended to come into contact with food (e.g. food processing equipment or processors).
