Overview
How do you evaluate the likely performance in use of your materials and products? What do the numbers at the end of a test report tell you? If you are involved in the manufacture, sale and distribution of textile products this easy to understand course tells you what tests are applicable, how they are done, and most importantly, what the results mean to you and your customers.
Concentrating on the most frequently requested tests, which substantiate basic performance criteria, you will leave with a general knowledge of the following:

  • Physical testing such as dimensional stability, pilling, tensile strength and seaming properties, bursting and appearance assessment
  • Colourfastness testing such as washing, water, rubbing and light
  • Fibre composition
  • Flammability
  • Other more specialised tests available

This seminar is suitable for all levels within your organisation. We will explain the terminology, guide you through the different global references and help you understand how selecting the right test(s) improves your product performance.
