Overview
Any retailer selling into China will need to be fully aware of the China GB standardisation system, the approach taken by the various authorities, and the penalties if they fail to meet the standard - but how many really understand the system.

This seminar is designed for softlines focused retailers and importers, with the aim of helping both those looking to China for expansion in the future and those already retailing there to understand the complexities of the China GB requirements.

An overview will be given on areas including Quality Surveillance in China and the enforcement bodies, and penalties for none compliance. Particular focus will be given to understanding differing requirements for different department stores or malls which can vary, and what type of report is required (and when) in order to demonstrate compliance.

An understanding of the complex China standardisation and classification system will be given, including various mandatory and voluntary standards, we will also provide an understanding of labelling requirements and how to ensure your labelling is correct for your product.

We will conclude with a general Q&A session and discussion regarding various potential approaches taken with regards to ensure compliance, and the risks associated with them.
