Results of China Market Textile and Footwear Spot Checks in August 2013

Bedding:

The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for bedding. The spot check inspected 30 batches of samples; 7 batches were found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 5296.4 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest-Part 4: Textiles and apparel," GB 18383-2007 "General technical requirements for products with filling materials," GB 18401 "National General Safety Technical Code For Textile Products," FZ/T 01053 "Textiles-Identification of Fiber Content," GB/T 17685-2003 "Down and Feather," GB/T 22796-2009 "Quilts, Quilt cover," GB/T 24252-2009 "Silk quilts," FZ/T 43018-2007 "Silk velvet blankets," FZ/T 61001-2006 "Wool and wool blended blanket," FZ/T 61002-2006 "Chemical fiber blanket," FZ/T 61004-2006 "Raschel blanket," FZ/T 61005-2006 "Blanket," FZ/T 81005-2006 "Quilting goods," QB/T 1193-2012"Down & Feather quilt," FZ/T81002-2002"Washed feather and down," QB/T 1189-1991"Washed feather," and other related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, AZO, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness washing, colorfastness to light, filling quality, filling weight tolerance, filling materials requirements, compression-recovery performance, down content and microbe .

Students’ Wear:

The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for students’ wear. The spot check inspected 60 batches of samples; 3 batches were found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National General Safety Technical Code For Textile Products," GB 5296.4-1998 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest-Part 4: Textiles and apparel," GB/T 2660-2008 "Shirts and blouses," GB/T 2664-2009 "Men’s suits and coats," GB/T 2665-2009 "Women’s suits and coats," GB/T 2666-2009 "Trousers," GB/T 22849-2009"Knitted T-shirt," GB/T 22853-2009"Knitted sportswear," GB/T 22854-2009 "Knitted School Uniform," GB/T 23328-2009 "Woven Garments for Students," FZ/T 73020-2012"Knitted casual wear," FZ/T 73026-2006"Knitted skirt suit," FZ/T 81003-2003"Children’s clothing and students’ wear," FZ/T 81004-2012"Dress and ladies suit," FZ/T 81007-2012"Casual wear," and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to light, cross staining, color fastness to light and perspiration, pilling and AZO.

Luggage Products:

China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for luggage products in Shanghai, Zhejiang province, Fujian province and Guangdong Province. The spot check inspected 60 batches of samples; 32 batches were found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to the standards QB/T 2155-2010"Travelling case and Trolley bag." The key items inspected on these samples were label, anti-fatigue property of puller, walking property, dynamic impact property, impact strength, static load of the case body, impact on the case body surface, pulling strength of zipper, seam strength, hardness of aluminum mouth, lock, anti-corrosion of metal accessories, colorfastness to rubbing and AZO.

Athletic Footwear:

China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for athletic footwear in Beijing, Hebei province, Shanghai, Jiangsu province, Zhejiang province, Fujian province, Guangdong province, Sichuan province. The spot check inspected 119 batches of samples; 6 batches were found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB/T 15107-2005 "Athletic footwear" and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were appearance, sole loading, whole shoe flexing, sole abrasion, sole bond (outsole and midsole).

Primary failed items: appearance, whole shoe flexing
