On April 30, 2016, Turkey’s Ministry of Customs and Trade announced that the Turkish Ministry of Economy published an announcement concerning the auditing of imported consumer products, with issue No 29699. The effective date of this announcement was May 2, 2016.
The purpose of this announcement is to set forth the procedures and principles with regard to the auditing of compliance with the regulations (human health, security of life and property, protection of environment and consumers) for the below products according to below regulations/notifications.
School materials such as paints, erasers, bags, sharpeners, crayons, pens
Sanitary products such as hygienic pads, nursing pads, diapers, adult diapers, tampons
School and office materials such as plastic folders, mouse pads
Gloves for household cleaning
Cufflinks, imitation jewellery
Mobile phone cases
Baby feeding bottles, drinking cups, soothers
