On January 20, 2009, the European Union’s Regulation on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) entered into force. It aligns existing EU legislation to the United Nations’ Globally Harmonised System (GHS). Meeting the CLP requirements are prerequisites to market access to the EU and will need to be addressed by your business alongside the challenging REACH deadlines already facing companies on the EU market.
