Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DMFEA) is a method for evaluating your design against potential failures. Many OEMs now require their automotive suppliers to develop a robust DFMEA in accordance with the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) analyses manufacturing and assembly processes at the system, subsystem and component levels in order to provide recommended actions targeted at eliminating the root cause of potential failures.
