Joined Intertek in 1988
Gene Rider was appointed President of Intertek Consumer Goods North America in July 2005. He joined Intertek in 1988 as President of RAM Consulting. Prior to this, Mr Rider worked with The United States Testing Company, New Jersey, joining as an environmental scientist before becoming Vice President.
In January 2005 he was appointed to the Board of Directors for The Society for Ear, Nose and Throat Advances in Children (SENTAC). He also has affiliations with The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), The Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) and The International Consumer Products and Health and Safety Organisation (ICPHSO).
Mr Rider was educated at Utah State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Toxicology.
