Swimming Suits:

The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for swimming suits. The spot check inspected 19 batches of samples from popular manufacturers; 2 batches were found unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401 "National General Safety Technical Code For Textile Products," GB 5296.4 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest-Part 4: Textiles and apparel," FZ/T 01053 "Textiles-Identification of Fibre Content, " FZ/T 73013-2012 "Knitted swimming suits" and other related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, color fastness to dry rubbing, color fastness to water, color fastness to perspiration, AZO, color fastness to sea water, color fastness to light, color fastness to chlorinated pool, stretch and recovery property, stretch and recovery property to chlorinated pool.

Primary failed item: fiber content.

Sunglasses:

The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for sunglasses. The spot check inspected 39 batches of samples; 2 batches were found unqualified.
Sunglasses are listed in the catalogue of national industrial products production license. This spot check was conducted according to the standards QB 2457-1999 "Sunglasses," GB 10810.3-2006 "Spectacle lenses and related eye wear-Part 3: Transmittance specifications and test methods" and other related standards. The key items inspected on these samples are defects and surface quality, difference of vertex power, difference of prismatic power, frame requirement (sweat resistant corrosion), quality of assembly, requirement of shape, luminous transmittanceτV , relative difference of luminous transmittance, luminous transmittance (UV spectrum), chromaticity coordinates, traffic signal transmittance, UV protection function (claimed), impact resistance, label 1 (include category, classify), label 2 (include manufacture and address, standard No., production license No.) .

Primary failed item: luminous transmittanceτV and label.

Uniforms:

The Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for uniforms at the second quarter in 2013. The spot check inspected 30 batches of samples of 12 enterprises; all of the batches passed inspection.

This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 5296.4 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest-Part 4: Textiles and apparel," GB 18401 "National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products" and other related standards. The key items inspected on these samples are formaldehyde, pH value, AZO, color fastness to water, color fastness to perspiration, color fastness to dry rubbing, etc.

The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for textile garments, bedding, down garments, leather garments and fur garments. The relevant results were released on June 6, 2013, as below.
