About The Role

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality service to clients. Complete work in a timely manner as directed by your supervisor, this includes but is not limited to process, prepare, weigh, digest and analyse mineral and ore samples using a variety techniques, procedures and instrumentation in accordance with documented procedures, GLP & ISO 17025.

The role requires the successful applicant to work full time on a rotating shift schedule (Shifts are Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm or 10pm - 6am). Applicants should be able and available to work all shifts. Shift work on weekends may be available to meet production demands. The role entails a fixed term full time rolling contract. Contract renewal would depend on meeting training and production targets within specified time frames.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety procedures are followed in accordance with Site, State, and local guidelines
  •  Provide quality services to our client in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform analysis accurately and within turnaround times required
  • Perform maintenance and operational functions on the automated equipment as required
  • Follow all documented procedures to ensure maintenance of quality accreditation
  • Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of the sample station and sampling points
  • QA/QC

Selection Criteria

  • Previous laboratory experience desirable
  • Laboratory certification highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work within a small team to achieve key objectives
  • Strong organisational skills Ability to develop and implement appropriate procedures
  • Computer literacy skills are required
