ABOUT YOU:

Key Activities:

 

  • Educated to a Higher Education Level in a relevant area, i.e. chemistry or equivalent 
  • Good understanding of formulation development principles and GMP manufacturing processes. 
  • Experience formulating and developing inhaled or nasal products e.g. dry powders, nebulisers, nasal sprays and pMDIs is advantageous
  • Experience working within a cGMP Lab in a similar role
  • General analytical chemistry knowledge including techniques such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and experience of testing inhalation and nasal drug products preferred
  • Ability to write or interpret study protocols and reports with minimum supervision
  • Good IT literacy skills

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to year on year success and business growth, Intertek Melbourn is recruiting motivated and talented scientists to join our Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) laboratories, just south of Cambridge.  We are looking for individuals at all levels of experience to join our team on a permanent basis and fulfil the following responsibilities:

 

  • Provide practical application of formulation knowledge in support of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical product development in accordance with cGMP with focus on inhaled and nasal dosage platforms
  • Undertake quantitative measurement of pharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations supporting product development, batch certification and stability testing
  • Undertake GMP manufacture of Investigational Medicinal Products in support of clinical trial supply
  • Communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instruction
  • Plan, schedule and carry out work for successful project completion
  • Accurately document and report all analytical activities and results, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance
