ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for candidates preferably with a consenting, EIA and/or HRA background who can bring delivery experience or a strong technical background to apply to our impressive portfolio of energy clients.  Applications from strong candidates with transferable experience in onshore EIA are also welcomed.

Our team specialises in environmental permitting, EIA / SEA, sustainability, energy transition and specialist environmental studies for the offshore renewables, submarine cables and oil and gas sectors.  The role will consist of a wide range of tasks including project management, providing technical advice and strategic direction to our clients, undertaking stakeholder engagement leading and contributing to proposals and mentoring and development of staff.   

Key Activities

The role will involve working in our Environment Team, where you will be project managing and providing specialist technical support to a range of exciting offshore related workstreams, for a diverse set of clients in our key sectors.  This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to lead existing and new environmental projects in the UK and Ireland.  Marine experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate. Client engagement, problem solving and providing sustainable solutions for our clients is a key focus area for our team and our culture encourages development of skills in a supportive environment.  There will be opportunity to engage and develop in all aspects of consultancy services from specialist technical support, through business development, to staff development. 

ABOUT YOU:

 

  • Demonstrable experience delivering environmental consents, EIA or HRA, preferably marine but not essential
  • Working knowledge of the EIA and/or HRA process and the technical assessments underpinning successful project delivery.
  • Experience of working within the planning process, ideally in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and/or the Republic of Ireland.
  • Experience working with, or understanding of, key regulators and stakeholders
  • Fluency in English (other languages desirable but not essential)
