ABOUT THE ROLE
An opportunity has arisen for a Microbiology Technician to perform microbiological testing of food samples (e.g. Raw Materials, Bulk, intermediates, finished goods, components, water etc.) for its site in Stoke on Trent.
The Microbiology Technician role will involve:
•Maintaining all quality records and systems in accordance with ISO17025
•Taking part in any required additional training related to the position
•Following the company’s Health and Safety Policy and promoting a positive safety culture
•Assisting with general laboratory housekeeping and maintenance of stock levels
The role will be a full time permanent position based in Stoke on Trent (ST6), which is a multi-discipline site ensuring Food safety in the UK and offers good transportation links to all surrounding areas including the M6. The role holder will be required to work 2pm to 10.30pm, Monday to Friday and weekday/weekend overtime as required.

•Good IT literacy skills
•Good general standard of education in Science, English and Maths.
•Experience in a similar working environment within a UKAS accredited laboratory (beneficial, but not essential)
•Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
