Intertek’s Sustainability Assurance services support our customers to design and implement programs, comply with regulations and market-driven requirements, certify, verify and report.

Our services range from solutions to address immediate environmental, social and governance requirements to the development of strategic portfolio initiatives, such as stakeholder engagement programs, sustainable supply chain management tools and reporting initiatives.

With increasing global focus on sustainable development, many manufacturers are being required to demonstrate their production processes and suppliers are meeting the principles of responsible sourcing. This involves an evaluation of the social, environmental and economic stewardship of the entire supply chain. Annual reports and marketing now include reference to key corporate sustainability initiatives and successes. Whether self declared or part of an established framework such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) or Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Intertek’s sustainability experts support clients in various aspect of corporate sustainability reporting.

 

As part of the global push to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions governments, investors, stock exchanges and organizations have implemented reporting requirements and are pressuring businesses to reduce emissions throughout their value chain. Intertek supports our clients’ inventory and report their Scope 1, 2 and/or 3 GHG emissions in accordance with globally recognized standards.

GHG emissions validation and verification may be pursued by an organization for a number of reasons such as to contribute to their annual report, to communicate to their customer, to meet regulatory or investor reporting requirements, or publicly disclose their emission reduction achievements.
