Jessica Walsh, B.Sc., Regulatory Manager

Ms. Walsh is a Regulatory Manager and has been with the Intertek Scientific & Regulatory Consultancy’s Chemicals Group team since 2005.  Working with numerous clients, her primary focus and role include providing clients with timely and cost-effective regulatory strategies for pre- and post-market approval of pesticides, antimicrobials, and agrochemicals in North America. 

Ms. Walsh provides regulatory and scientific advice to clients to promote compliance with the Pest Control Products Act and Regulations (PCPA and PCPR), as well as the Fertilizer Act and Regulations in Canada, the Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) in the U.S., and other similar initiatives around the world.  By analyzing and interpreting the requirements of these regulations, Ms. Walsh effectively responds to her client’s needs and has assisted in managing and preparing the submission of many registration applications.  In this context, Ms. Walsh gathers, interprets, and delivers the necessary compositional information, toxicological data, physical-chemical properties and product-support information. Her organizational skills, communication skills and knowledge of regulations aid the team in providing timely and cost-effective regulatory strategies based on the successful use of surrogate data, and waiver requests to meet complex requirements for physical-chemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological data prescribed under the various pesticide and fertilizer regulatory programs.

Ms. Walsh graduated from the University of Guelph, with an Honours B.Sc. in Biomedical Toxicology.
