Exporting/Importing Cosmetic Products to Saudi Arabia - Revised limits of Azelaic Acid in Cosmetic products

Manufacturers, Exporters and Importers of Cosmetics and Perfumery products to KSA are hereby informed of SFDA’s Circular 26119 dated 14th May 2023 concerning the revised limits of Azelaic Acid in Cosmetic products.

Based on periodic reviews of evidences and studies related to the safety of ingredients in Cosmetic products, SFDA has decided to allow, with immediate effect, the use of Azelaic Acid in any Cosmetic product provided that it’s concentration does not exceed 15%.
