CPI Charity Team Formed in Celebration of the First Year Anniversary

The Compliance Practitioners Initiative (CPI), a qualification program for practitioners in the testing, inspection and certification industry, is marking its first year anniversary in May. To celebrate this important milestone, the CPI Charity Team is formed with a vision to bring CPI communities worldwide to help the ones in need in their home country.

CPI was first established in the UK on May 6, 2010 to fill the gap in the industry for not having a globally recognized qualification standard for compliance practitioners. Within a short year after its launch, the program has been offering training courses in Hong Kong, China, India, Bangladesh and France. More than 1,000 practitioners from over 40 countries across the globe have joined CPI and this number is growing. With a strong and growing membership base, CPI is organizing more accredited professional courses, as well as different functions for CPI members.

The slogan for the CPI Charity Team is "Global Vision. Local Action." CPI members have global visions as regards their work and the society and are able to transform these visions into local actions. Serving the local community with a global vision is what the CPI Charity Team promotes.

In celebration of the establishment of the CPI Charity Team and the first year anniversary of CPI, the CPI Charity Team had participated in two charity events in Bangladesh and Hong Kong.

• Blood Donation Camp on 6 May 2011 in Bangladesh
• OXFAM Rice Sale Event on 8 May 2011 in Hong Kong
