Intertek presents seminars at Hong Kong International Lighting Fair and Electronics Fair 2014
Electricity used to light up our homes and offices and now it is used more substantially in retail shops and public areas. It means we consume more energy than before. To achieve energy saving without changing our lifestyle, LED lighting will be a good solution. LED lighting is considered as a green initiate that can emit similar lighting performance with just a fraction of the electricity used in traditional lighting products, making it a growing sector in the lighting industry. In the global market, LED lighting products are gaining popularity due to its benefits of energy-efficient, longer life span and with less toxicity.
Intertek Hong Kong was invited by HKTDC to present the latest LED lighting standards and requirements during the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) and the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) on 6 Apr 2014 and 13 Apr 2014 respectively. For LED performance and energy efficiency, Mr. Gary Yu, Intertek Consumer and Commercial Electrical Lighting Senior supervisor, presented the key regulatory updates in the Electronics Fair seminar.
