Intertek’s North America Softlines laboratory has launched new services for the fast-growing activewear sector. These services evaluate performance qualities against promotional claims, industry benchmarking, and regulatory standards, which is important as consumer demand shifts to high-performance fabrics.
Intertek has joined the ZDHC Programme, which is leading the textile, leather, and footwear industries towards zero discharge of hazardous chemicals. Intertek will support the program’s vision of achieving widespread implementation of sustainable chemistry and best practices to protect consumers, workers, and the environment.
Intertek Hong Kong Presents at the Wearable Technologies for Future Fashion Seminar
Intertek Hong Kong recently presented at the Wearable Technologies for Future Fashion Seminar, which was jointly organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA). Jason Ho, Vice President of Integrated Business Development, shared his insights on product development, test methods, and applicable standards for wearable technologies.
Intertek Hong Kong will be hosting the Intertek & ZDHC Academy - Introduction to Chemical Management training course on August 29-30. This course is designed to build awareness of the ZDHC Manufactured Restricted Substances List (MRSL), as well as highlight alternatives to unsafe chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
