Intertek Hyperabad was recently granted accreditation from the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). This accreditation provides the Hyperabad food testing laboratory with the capability to provide mandatory certifications for a variety of agricultural products exported from India.
In order to help combat the recent spate of E. coli outbreaks in the UK, Intertek has increased capacity at its laboratories to provide faster testing for E. coli and E. coli O157. This expansion will provide assurance to manufacturers, retailers, and consumers that food products are protected against E. coli.
To support clients throughout China, Intertek has received approvals for novel food ingredients, food additives, and animal feed additives. These approvals are crucial for clients towards opening up new markets in which to bring new food ingredients and additives, and achieving market success.
Cardboard, as a component of packaging, must meet certain quality characteristics and resistance requirements to ensure that it will preserve the product’s integrity during transportation, storage and delivery. Cardboard evaluation is a fundamental tool in designing packaging that protects the product in any situation it encounters.

In October, Intertek will exhibit at both the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
Intertek Hong Kong recently hosted its Product Assurance Training program from Sept. 20 to 21 at the Regal Kowloon Hotel. This highly regarded program attracted participants from many different regional centers, including Melbourne, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The two-day training session was highly successful and provided an excellent opportunity for participants to learn about product safety.
