Students’ Wear:
The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for students’ wear. The spot check inspected 30 batches of samples; 7 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National General Safety Technical Code For Textile Products," GB 5296.4-1998 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest," FZ/T 01053-2007 "Textiles-Identification of fiber content," GB/T 2660-2008 "Shirts and blouses," GB/T 2664-2009 "Men’s suits and coats," GB/T 2665-2009 "Women’s suits and coats," GB/T 2666-2009 "Trousers," GB/T 22849-2009 "Knitted T-shirt," GB/T 22853-2009 "Knitted sportswear," GB/T 22854-2009 "Knitted School Uniform," GB/T 23328-2009 "Woven Garments for Students," FZ/T 73020-2012 "Knitted casual wear," FZ/T 73026-2006 "Knitted skirt suit," FZ/T 81003-2003 "Children’s clothing and students’ wear," FZ/T 81004-2012 "Dress and ladies suit," FZ/T 81007-2012 "Casual wear," and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to water, AZO, cross staining, colorfastness to light and perspiration, pilling and colorfastness to light.

Knitted Underwear:
The Administration of Quality and Technology supervision of Guangdong Province launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for knitted underwear. The spot check inspected 120 batches of samples; 31 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National General Safety Technical Code For Textile Products," GB 5296.4-1998 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest," FZ/T 01053-2007 "Textiles-Identification of fiber content," GB/T 8878-2009 "Cotton knitted underwear," FZ/T 73016-2000 "Knitted thermal underwear-Wadding category," FZ/T 73019.1-2010 "Knitted constrictive in-wear-Elastic-style," FZ/T 73024-2006 "Knitted underwear in chemical fibres," FZ/T 73012-2008 "Brassiere," and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were label, fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, AZO, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing and colorfastness to washing.

Women’s Wear:
The Administration of Quality and Technology supervision of Guangdong Province launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for women’s wear. The spot check inspected 198 batches of samples; 48 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National General Safety Technical Code For Textile Products, " GB 5296.4-1998 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest-Instructions for use of textiles and apparel," and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were label, fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, AZO, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to light and seam slippage.
Primary failed items: AZO, pH value, fiber content, colorfastness, seam slippage, label
Household Textiles:
The Administration of Quality and Technology supervision of Guangdong Province launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for household textiles. The spot check inspected 71 batches of samples; 19 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National General Safety Technical Code For Textile Products, " GB 5296.4-1998 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest," and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were label, formaldehyde content, pH value, AZO, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to light, fiber content, dimensional stability to washing, tensile strength, bursting strength, absorbency and pile retention.
