Minnesota Bans Triclosan in Cleaning Products

When Minnesota Governor Dayton signed bill SF 2192 on May 16, 2014, Minnesota became the first state to ban the use of triclosan in cleaning products for consumer use for sanitizing or hand and body cleansing. The ban goes in effect from January 1, 2017, after which cleaning products containing triclosan cannot be offered for sale.
