Workshop Series: A Deep Dive in the Regulatory Landscape of the Americas
This workshop will examine the fundamental regulatory instruments to be aware of in the Americas.
This series will include five distinct sessions and will examine the regulatory obligations in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru. Each session will include a description of major changes in the regulations, mechanisms for compliance via notifications, and other important parts of the regulations. The workshop will offer an in-depth view of these encompassing regulations and will include time for questions and interactions.

Session 1: Biocides and Pesticide Regulations and Obligations

This session will examine the information pertaining to the types of products that are considered to be pesticides in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru, the types of claims that are permitted for such products, and a general discussion of the data requirements that a registrant of a pesticide would be required to meet in order to obtain pre-market approval for a pesticide product.

Session 2: Industrial/Consumer Packaging & Labelling Regulations and SDS Requirements in the Americas

This session will examine the regulatory requirements surrounding industrial and consumer labelling, and SDS in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru. Where applicable we will discuss proposed changes to regulatory statutes in these jurisdictions. The workshop will offer an in-depth view of these regulations and will include time for questions and interactions.

Session 3: Chemical Regulations and Obligations

This session will examine the fundamentals of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) and the United States Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and the published or Draft regulatory instrument in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru. It will include a description of major changes in the regulations, mechanisms for compliance via notifications, and other important parts of the regulations. The session will offer an in-depth view of these regulations and will include time for questions and interactions.

Session 4: Biotechnology Regulations and Obligations
