Pre-Certification Testing for Wireless Service Providers

If you wish to sell your wireless products to service providers (Verizon Wireless, Cingular Wireless, Sprint, etc.), you can rely on Intertek for pre-testing to applicable specifications to determine if it complies before sending it in for testing, eliminating the risk of potential product re-designs and lengthy delays .

This testing can include:

CDMA esting to TIA-98-E, TIA/EIA-98-D, TIA/EIA-898, TIA-866 and specific requirements using two Spirent C2K racks.
Over-the-Air (OTA) Testing including Total Radiated Power (TRP), Total Isotropic Sensitivity (TIS), and aGPS Receiver Sensitivity.
TRP testing measuring the 3-D antenna pattern of cellular handsets and calculating the total radiated power of the device.
TIS testing measuring the 3-D sensitivity pattern of the handset’s receiver and integrating the pattern to provide a figure of merit for the device.
aGPS Receiver Sensitivity measuring the 3-D sensitivity pattern of the handset’s aGPS receiver in a phantom hand and integrating the pattern to provide a figure of merit for the device.
GPS Testing to support the specific sections of TIA-916 that judge various performance attributes of wireless CDMA devices.
EMC Testing to demonstrate that your product’s emissions will not affect the normal operation of other products in the same environment. We also help ensure that emissions from other products will not affect the normal operations of yours.
Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Testing to ensure the minimum amount of energy is emitted from radio equipment and absorbed by the human body during use.
