As a CTIA Authorized Testing Lab (CATL), we offer you third-party product testing and certification including 1X EV-DO (HRPD) cdmaOne, CDMA2000, HAC, and Over-the-Air (OTA) performance.
Our Wireless Center of Excellence is equipped with the right equipment to provide quick and accurate testing to CTIA requirements:
- Two Spirent C2K test systems (one with and one without GPS test capabilities) for cdma2000 1xRTT, cdma2000 1xEV-DO, GPS and other CTIA requirements.
- Fully anechoic chamber and support equipment used for OTA TRP, TIS and aGPS testing
- Vibration table for applicable requirements
- Bruel and Kjaer Pulse system for Acoustic Testing of CDMA, and GSM and devices
- Type 3.3 audiometric coupler (Head and Torso simulator) for acoustical testing. Type 1 and Type 3.2 couplers are also supported
We also offer clients pre-compliance testing BEFORE submitting products for CTIA certification. This helps to safeguard against lengthy delays and potential redesigns in the future.
Intertek offers CDMA testing to C.S0011 (TIA-98-E), C.S0031 (TIA-898), C.S0033 (TIA-866), C.S0033A (TIA-866-A), C.S0036 (TIA-916), C.S0037 (TIA-918), C.S0038 (TIA-919), C.S0043 (TIA-1045), C.S0060 and C.S0073 (TIA-1084). We currently utilize three Spirent C2K systems, one Spirent APEX and one Aeroflex CDMA-AIME system to streamline testing. We have added cdma2000 1XEVDO parametrics and protocols, and cdma2000 1XRTT and cdma2000 1XEVDO Mobile IP.
CTIA Battery Certification for Wireless and Computer Devices
We offer full scope CTIA accredited battery testing services for both IEEE 1725 and IEEE 1625.
What is a CATL? How can a CATL benefit you?
In 2002, the CTIA refined its certification program, making it more appealing to manufacturers seeking the CTIA Certification Seal on cellular products. Most notably, the CTIA removed itself as the intermediary in the product testing and certification cycle. Now, products are delivered directly to authorized testing laboratories for evaluation. Providing a direct channel between manufacturers and their testing organization helps to quicken the certification process for the program's voluntary participants.
Authorized testing labs (CATLs) must pass a rigorous review and evaluation, conducted by the CTIA, in order to be granted the authority to conduct testing. CATLs are evaluated according to their specific testing capability and the association’s certification program. For more information, visit the CTIA web site to learn more.
CTIA Certification Program Background
Established in 1991, the CTIA Certification Program provides a safeguard for consumers, ensuring that they receive high-quality wireless communications products and services. Today, the CTIA Certification Program also protects network operators and service providers' purchases, ensuring that the wireless products they procure comply with established EIA/TIA industry standards.
