This is an exciting opportunity for a Van Driver to join our dynamic team working in the Milton Keynes geographical area.

Job Responsibilities 

To drive a refrigerated van, making collections of samples from our customer sites, in accordance with a pre-determined route and times scales and deliver the samples to an Intertek Lab or other location as required. 

This is a front-line customer facing role and is part of a low volume but high mileage collection service. Times of work will vary from day to day and a high degree of flexibility and self-reliance is needed. 

Be part of a team of Drivers based in the Stoke area making daily collections in an area covering Milton Keynes and the Midlands. The day starts from home and ends at our Lab in Stoke.

Specific duties:

Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are followed at all times

Ensure that all documentation is completed when collecting from customers and when delivering to Labs

Ensure that temperature protocols are followed and that any variances are reported immediately by phone

Carry out vehicle checks and report all defects immediately

Drive company vans in a safe, legal, economic and courteous manner

Use in-cab technology as required.

Act as the first line of contact at customer sites and build good relationships with our customers.

Job Qualifications

Required skills and experience

Van driving and customer care skills

High mile / low volume van work experience

Good geographical knowledge of the area.

Full license with no more than 6 points

Occasional heavy lifting experience

Good standard of handwriting

Previous experience of in-cab technology
