Intertek Pharma Services Manchester (IPSM) are seeking to recruit Scientists to work at their laboratory in Blackley, Manchester. If you are a Scientist/ Senior Scientist or Technical Expert we want to hear from you.
IPSM has an extensive range of analytical instrumentation and provides analytical services to customers in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, personal care and speciality chemical sectors in a GLP, GCP and GMP regulated laboratory. Scientists sought should have expertise in one of the following areas:
•Biological Chromatography (HPLC, UPLC, MALLS)
•Protein Chemistry (CE, CD, Western Blot)
•Assay validation specialist
The successful candidates will provide specialist expertise in method development, validation of methods, technical support to junior colleagues and act as the lead scientist supporting customer programmes in compliance with GxP requirements.
The Manchester site operates on a flexible working basis where core hours are 37.5 hours per week. The role holder must be willing to work to a flexible schedule as the business requires.
Required skills and experience
•Good IT literacy skills
•B.Sc / MSc/ PhD in Chemistry (or related scientific discipline)
•At least 5 years’ experience in the practical and theoretical aspects is essential
•In-depth knowledge and awareness of technical specialism is essential
•Extensive experience in the development and validation of assays
•Proven experience in the supervision and coordination of analytical projects performed by junior staff in a regulatory environment
•Comprehensive experience of working in a GxP regulatory laboratory essential
•Good practical laboratory and problem solving skills
