Intertek's pilot plant processing expertise includes, but is not limited to:
- Delayed co-coking of algae-based biomass and resid to intermediate coker liquids
- Hydrodeoxygenation of vegetable oils, fats and greases.
- Hydroisomerization of deoxygenated vegetable oils to green transportation fuels
- Upgrading of wood chip –derived product into green transportation fuels.
Intertek provides confidential and independent pilot plant testing services. In operation since 1986 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, Intertek also offers extensive experience in processing distillates, gas oils, naphthas, petrochemicals and resids.
For Japanese pilot plant requirements, Intertek's process pilot plant capabilities can be categorized into hydroprocessing and non-hydoprocessing applications. Hydroprocessing capabilities include fixed-bed and trickle-bed processes as well as autoclave testing. Non-hydroprocessing applications include desalting, distillation, delayed coking, solvent deasphalting, solvent extraction, solvent dewaxing and thermal cracking/visbreaking.
