The ASTM D-909 test provides supercharge ratings of spark-ignition aviation gasolines. Supercharge testing can be a requirement for Avgas quality. The D-909 test is designed to measue fuel performance under severe conditions in higher performance engines. The newest Supercharge engine is located in the Intertek Chicago, Illinois USA petroleum laboratory, The Intertek Chicago laboratory operates one of the few independent Super-Charge Octane performance test engines in the the Americas and the world for ASTM D-909.
