Our Electrical Safety accreditations, expertise, and experience can help you gain faster approvals and wider market access for your Telecom Equipment

North America
When your telecom or radio product is found in compliance to North American standards, it’s eligible to bear our ETL Listed Mark. The ETL Listed Mark is recognized by authorities having jurisdiction throughout the U.S. and Canada. When customers see the ETL Listed Mark on your product, they know it has been tested to standards such as those by UL or CSA. In fact, the ETL Listed Mark is equivalent to the UL Mark in that they are both provided by an OSHA recognized Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL).

In addition to being an OSHA NRTL, Intertek is also accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) as a Testing Organization (TO) and Certification Body (CB). And for Mexico, we are accredited by the Entidad Mexicana de Accreditacion A.C. (EMA) to provide testing to the safety requirements of NOM standards. Through an agreement with Normalizacion y Certification Electronic, A.C., (NYCE), we are able to assist you with NOM Mark certification.

South America
A joint venture with the Instituto Argentino de Normalizacion (IRAM) and IMQ S.p.A., called I³, enables us to provide you with product certification and streamlined access to the Argentinean market (IRAM Mark).

European Union
We are a Notified Body in the EU and designated by NIST as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB). These designations allow us to test your telecom and radio equipment for CE Mark to Low Voltage Directive and the Radio & Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive. In addition to CE Marking, you can add value to your telecommunication or radio products by using independent testing that results in our S Mark. The S Mark is highly valued throughout Europe, adding credibility to your product and company. As a voluntary mark, the S Mark shows buyers that you went beyond minimum standards to prove your product is safe. To 450 million Europeans, “S” stands for safety.

If you plan to market your product in Germany, we also provide the GS Mark. The GS Mark, coupled with the S Mark, can help you gain seamless market access throughout the European Union.

Asia Pacific
If you wish to market your product to Asia Pacific, we can guide the way. Our recognition by the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) authorizes some of our laboratories to test telecommunications equipment destined for the Australian market.

Russia
We have a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with COMTEST to provide Telecom Equipment Certification in the Electrosviaz System, and a partnership with the Russian Centre for Tests and Certification (Rostest) to provide GOST R Certification.
