Impact, Overview, Fees and Action Required

Impact Statement:

  • Existing certifications of unchanged products will be maintained indefinitely*.
  • If a product in an existing certification report undergoes changes to the design, ratings, or the use of alternate components requiring a certification decision submitted on or after the Effective Date above, then the product will need to be evaluated to UL 62368-1 2nd edition.
  • UL 62368-1 2nd edition will exclusively be used for the evaluation of new products unless the Applicant requests in writing that current UL 60065 requirements be used.

* In the event that UL 60065 is withdrawn and current Listings are no longer valid, sufficient notice will be given to ensure a smooth transition takes place as your Listing Report(s) are evaluated to the current edition of UL 62368-1.

Fees: A quote will be issued, per the manufacturer’s request or due to a change in design after the Effective Date, for the Applicant to work with their local Intertek Lab to determine the necessary test program, sampling requirement and needed construction details and/or updated marking/instruction details

Current Listings Not Active? – Please immediately identify any current Listing Reports or products that are no longer active and should be removed from our records. We will do this at no charge as long as Intertek is notified in writing prior to the review of your reports.
