Intertek RoHS Certification Process
- Documentation Review
- Bill of Materials, assembly drawings, material declarations, test reports, Certificates of Conformance, etc.
- Process Audit
- Verify manufacturing processes related to RoHS compliance
- Identify High Risk Materials
- Lab Testing
- High Risk Materials that can not be verified using XRF screening are sent to an Intertek laboratory for RoHS chemical testing to determine the maximum concentration values of the six RoHS substances [lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenylether (PBDE)]
