REACH Testing Program

Intertek offers you a complete testing and characterization solution for REACH compliance.

Companies wishing to manufacture or import substances into the European Union are required to comply with the REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals - EC1907/2006) Regulation in order to avoid penalty or rejection of products.

Intertek offers a complete EU REACH testing and characterization solution. Supported by our highly qualified analytical scientists located in laboratories in over 100 countries worldwide, Intertek enables companies to facilitate REACH compliance.

Intertek’s REACH Testing program is a three stage process:

Stage 1: Sample Management

Intertek will utilize local Intertek teams to support sample pickup, tagging and shipment. The logistics team will ensure the Stage 1 progress is continuously updated on the Intertek REACH Web tool and that progress is communicated to our customers.

Stage 2: Substance Identification Testing 

Stage 3: Report of Analysis

Upon successful completion of testing, Intertek will provide a fully documented report of analysis as per ISO 17025 guidelines and the ECHA Guidance Document for Identification and Naming of Substances under REACH will be issued. The report data will include testing, spectra, interpretation and sufficient details on analytical methods. The data will be uploaded to REACH Web Tool for review and archive. The report data will be ready to use in IULCLID 5 filing for dossier. Intertek can also support data reporting in IUCLID format as an added option.


Intertek REACH Web Tool

To effectively manage your project, the Intertek REACH Web Tool will be utilized for all project communication, document repository, updates, review and archives. The web based tool is designed to support the project at every step of the proposed process - sampling, shipment, distribution, testing, reporting and confirmation. Our customers will be able to access the tool to review the sample progress and also manage the data upon reporting.
