Physico-Chemical Property Predictions for REACH
Physico-chemical property predictions provide data for the registration of a chemical under the EU REACH framework.
The EU REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) framework requires data to be submitted for a number of physico-chemical endpoints. Where available, predictions can be used to provide the values for these endpoints.
The following REACH endpoints are accessible via physico-chemical property predictions:
- 7.2 Melting Point
- 7.3 Boiling Point
- 7.4 Relative Density
- 7.5 Vapour Pressure
- 7.6 Surface Tension
- 7.7 Water Solubility
- 7.8 Octanol:Water Partition Coefficient (logP)
- 7.9 Flash Point
- 7.16 Dissociation Constant (pKa)
For each endpoint, there is access to a number of different prediction tools. These can be used to provide customers with raw data, or to apply a concensus approach where data from all available tools is obtained and then the results are analysed, outliers removed and the remaining results combined to produce a single value in which we have more confidence than any of the component values alone.
