Learn more about Intertek's new Green Leaf Mark.
To ensure that chemical substances found in everyday products are safe to human health and the environment, the European Union has raised the bar through its REACH regulation. Under the regulation, SVHCs have to be identified and disclosed.
SVHC Compliance and Disclosure Requirements:
• Determine whether products contain any SVHCs in excess of 0.1% product weight
• Disclose the presence of SVHCs in products within 45 days upon request from consumers or customers
• Ensure environmental compliance and safety of products
Intertek SVHC Screening Services
Intertek has developed a cost-effective SVHC screening process to identify whether SVHCs are present in products:
• Screening analyzes for presence of SVHC's in your product in excess of 0.1% by product weight
• Screening can be performed at a product or component level
If products contain any SVHCs, Intertek can provide an assessment to identify in which material or component the SVHC is present, create a replacement strategy, or prepare REACH disclosure documentation to assure your business is not interrupted.
Please note that this is intended to be a cost-effective screening, so this service will not identify every single potential SVHC. Further testing may be required to ensure that specific SVHCs are not present and can be supported by Intertek’s REACH SVHC Testing solutions.
