Bisphenol-A Detection Testing and Analysis
Bisphenol-A (BPA) chemical migration testing, detection and analysis.
Products tested for Bisphenol-A include feeding bottles, drinking cups and many products according to EN 14350-2. BPA is extracted from test articles into food simulant and identified by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Laboratories with expertise in BPA detection and analysis are located in Europe, North America and other locations. Bisphenol-A migration tests are run by experienced Intertek scientists.
Migration of BPA shall not exceed 0.6mg/kg, as regulated in Amendment 2011/8/EU of the European directive 2002/72/EC.
Intertek provides trace chemical detection and testing for Bisphenol A and other regulated chemicals:
- Bisphenol A (BPA)
- Migration of specific elements
- N-Nitrosamines and N-Nitrosatables release
- MBT release (2-Mercaptobenzothiazole)
