Intertek ASG is a specialized contract research laboratory that provides a broad range of advanced scientific and regulatory analytical services to clients involved in the development and manufacture of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, materials technology, fine and specialty chemicals.

Laboratory Profile:

Intertek acquired ASG (Analytical Sciences Group) in May 2004.  Founded in the 1940's, this world class laboratory has a rich heritage spanning 70 years as an advanced provider of analytical chemistry and scientific support services as a corporate facility within ICI Pharmaceuticals, Zeneca and latterly Avecia.  Located in Manchester, UK, Intertek ASG has the expertise to support a diverse range of healthcare products including small molecule therapeutics, macromolecule drugs (oligonucleotides, recombinant proteins, vaccines) as well as formulated products.  The laboratory is one of the largest purpose built analytical facilities in the UK and has a strong reputation for troubleshooting and problem-solving to support R&D programs, novel product development and manufacturing processes.  Intertek ASG is now a key component of Intertek Pharmaceutical Services stream within the Analytical Services Division.

The laboratory has been inspected by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for GLP and GMP compliance, and by the US FDA for cGMP compliance.
