Software Technical Resources for the Oil & Gas Industry
Intertek has an extensive database of software tools that are used in a variety of applications.
Intertek uses both commercial software packages, such as ADLPIPE for piping analysis and ANSYS for finite element analysis, and proprietary in-house software tools, such as our ROTOR code for turbine analysis. We have developed a generic boiler heat transfer model to assess boiler operating and design problems. Some of the other software tools we use include:
- PREFIS
- Fitness for Service Software – Software using ASME Section XI and API 579 to determine Fitness For Service of equipment items.
- FACEUP – Computer code that effectively utilizes ultrasonic measurements for a realistic assessment of flow-assisted corrosion and future life projections.
- TFDGEN – Fracture mechanics analysis tool aimed at evaluating the seriousness of flaws that are found and sized in the field by conventional NDE techniques.
- RUL SW – This software provides RUL estimates from input information that comes from nondestructive data or destructive tube sampling.
- LFRAC – Software provides an estimate of life fraction remaining for ferritic steam-cooled tubing.
- BALIFE – Probabilistic analysis package for forecasting failure rates. Results provide an economic analysis of run, repair, or replace decisions.
- RDMIP – Risk Directed Mechanical Integrity Program that assesses the risk of process equipment and helps with the implementation of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) programs.
- Pipeline Integrity Management Programs – Software programs that assist pipeline operators manage extensive NDE, pigging, and GIS data.
- APTECHInform – Applied Technology Information Management (APTECH Inform) support package; a procedure controlled electronic document imaging, storage, and access process designed to securely manage data relating to engineering projects.
- APTECHUploader – A secure "ftp site" for large file transfers.
