(Santo Domingo) Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety services to a wide range of industries around the world, has opened a new Liquid Petroleum Gases (LPG) laboratory in the Dominican Republic. The new laboratory will measure the quality and purity of LPG products such as propane and butane.

The new LPG laboratory supports clients in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean region, helping them comply with Gas Processors Association (GPA) quality specifications. The new LPG laboratory is purpose-built, with state-of-the-art instrumentation and staffed by experienced chemists and technicians. The lab tests a wide range of quality parameters for propane and butane products, including sulfur content, corrosivity, and other tests per ASTM and other industry standards.
