Arlington Heights, IL – Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, today announced the first recipients of a scholarship and internship program targeted at undergraduate students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in the U.S. and Canada.

The Intertek Scholarship and Internship program provides up to $10,000 in scholarships, paired with an internship at an Intertek office, to five promising undergraduate students in the engineering field. In the creation of this new scholarship and internship program, Intertek intends to promote STEM education and to help inspire students to pursue careers in engineering. Additionally, two of the five scholarships were awarded to female candidates, promoting women’s advancement in engineering.
