Intertek Receives Inmetro Accreditation in Brazil to Address Growing Demand of Household Appliances and Office Equipment

Expanded certification scope helps manufacturers meet Brazilian requirements and shorten time-to-market.

Arlington Heights, IL, -- Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, today announced that it has obtained accreditation by Inmetro as a Product Certification Body for Household Appliances (HOUS) and Office Equipment (IT/OFF) according to the IEC standards 60335 and 60950. This scope expansion will allow manufacturers the ability to demonstrate compliance with the Brazilian requirements in the fastest, most efficient way possible.
