Intertek Food Services Strengthen Their Skills in the Field of Global Food Safety

Dr. Gerhard Rimkus joins Intertek as the Project Manager for Global Food Safety, bringing his expertise in the international food business and international food law.

With the addition of Dr Rimkus, a well renowned food industry expert, Intertek will enhance its network of food safety specialists and strengthen its existing core business by supporting the global food chain.
Dr Rimkus has worked for many years as the leader of contamination analysis at the state laboratory, Landeslabor Schleswig-Holstein in Neumünster. In addition, he was responsible auditor for residue laboratories in several prominent European organisations including the Food and Veterinary Office for European Commission in Grange, Ireland, for five years.
As an expert in the field of international food law, Dr Rimkus will support Intertek food professionals and implement global strategies. Dr Rimkus will immediately join the international team of Intertek Food Services as the Project Manager for Global Food Safety. Dr Rimkus, said. “I am very happy to be able to bring my many years of international and technical experience to this dynamic, globally active company.
