Intertek hires new Director of Product Evaluation
Arlington Heights - Intertek, a leading global provider of quality and safety testing services, is pleased to welcome Michael Beaton, PE as the new director of product evaluations. In his new role, Michael will be leading Intertek's new product evaluation services to provide clients with a timely, value added and market accepted code compliance report. This service offering will link the code compliance report with the Warnock Hersey Listing Report, which will provide architects, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and the industry with a total solution provider for code compliance across North America.

"He will lead our effort to change the face of product approvals in North America. This will help manufacturers show compliance to building codes and allow their new and innovative products to gain access to the North American market while assuring authorities that Intertek has conducted a thorough evaluation."
Prior to joining Intertek, Michael served as senior vice president at ICC Evaluation Service® (ICC-ES®), working with manufacturers and industries to address issues of code compliance. In 25 years in the building industry, he has proven experience in testing, standards development and product evaluation, in addition to developing practices and systems for efficient processing of ICC-ES evaluation reports and acceptance criteria.
