Intertek Expands Composites Testing Capacity

Pittsfield, MA USA – Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, has expanded composites testing capacity with the addition of another Universal Tester with up to 250kN load cell capacity.
Intertek provides testing, inspection, and other analytical laboratory services to composites manufacturers and end-users at the Pittsfield laboratory. New investment highlights include data precision through reduced bending utilizing Align Pro to meet Nadcap accuracy requirements for tension, the Hydraulic Composite Compression Fixture (HCCF) High Heat Extensometers and 8 Channel Strain Gage measurement for intricate bearing bypass assessments, poisson’s ratio and more. Intertek Pittsfield is Nadcap AC7122/1 accredited for non-metallic materials, class A composite materials to support aerospace material submissions and A2LA (IEC/ISO 17025:05) Accredited for composite material submission in automotive Part Production Approval Process (PPAP), wind energy assessments and other industry requirements.
