Intertek Launches US CPSIA for iPad™ App to Deliver Valuable Resources to Consumer Goods Industry Professionals

Hong Kong and Oak Brook, IL - Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, today announced the launch of its Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) mobile digital device application (app), US CPSIA for iPad™, building on the success of the company’s two iPhone® mobile digital device apps, the Textile Compliance Guide EU and US CPSIA, which debuted earlier this year. The US CPSIA for iPad™ app was developed as a quick reference resource for consumer goods safety and compliance industry professionals and is now available to download for free at the online Apple® App Store.

The new US CPSIA for iPad™ app is specially designed to take full advantage of the increased functionality offered by the iPad™. The app features an enhanced interface that allows quicker access to practical and valuable industry resources, providing professionals with a powerful database at the touch of a screen.

Like its iPhone® counterpart, Intertek’s US CPSIA for iPad™ app contains the content of the Act by section and in full text, supplemented with frequently asked questions about compliance and safety testing requirements. CPSIA is designed to allow the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to better regulate the safety of products sold in the United States. A list of CPSC-accredited testing laboratories in different continents with contact information and testing scope is also available in the app. 

Meanwhile, downloads of Intertek’s Textile Compliance Guide EU and US CPSIA iPhone® apps have surpassed 1,000 in less than two months, making the apps two of the most popular in the industry.
